The glue is pressed through a heated grid by means of a piston. The heating element of the grid and the air pressure for the piston are actuated electronically only if the glue level in the pump reservoir is low.

The function of this glue melter is to assure precise melting uniformity. The unit is equipped with heating elements that are tied in with the P-touch screen, allowing for automatic glue level control as well as start and stop time of the heating elements.
